Shannon had a fever this evening of 102.5 °F. The nurse gave her Tylenol and it dropped to 100.9 °F. The doctor ordered blood cultures x2 and also started her on 2 IV antibiotics (Vancomycin and Cefepime). They’re also doing a urine culture. These cultures are to rule out any infections.
It’s been about 2 hours and her temp has dropped to 99.0 °F . She’s about to get pain some meds and go to sleep.
