August 17th and 18th, there’s not much to report. We had a quiet weekend. We did some chores, ordered out and Shannon did some TikTok LIVE videos.

Monday the 19th, she had a clinic visit for cell count check and a doctor visit. Her cell counts are starting to drop off again, as expected. Last Thursday all of her cell counts were within normal range. She had a liver enzyme that was a little elevated. Today, her WBC (White Blood Cells) were almost non-existant. We didn’t get an ANC (Absolute Neutrophil Count) because it was so low, it has to be read manually and it’s checked by two lab techs. We met with Manila the NP. She said even without the ANC result, we can assume it’s also very low since the WBC’s are so low. This means her immune system is low and she’s at more risk for infection during this time….until her counts go back up. Platlets were low too, so she’s at a little more risk for bleeding and bruising. Her Hemaglobin was a 7.6 and the cutoff is 7 for a blood transfusion. I’m assuming when we go back on Thursday, she will probably be even lower and need a “unit” of blood. Also, her liver enzymes are still a little elevated but are coming down and closer to the normal range. We’re still holding off on a couple of her medications that can raise liver enzymes. Regarding her cell counts, it’s all to be expected so we aren’t surprised or overly concerned at this time.

After her clinic visit we grabbed some food and coffee. She had a bad headache this morning but it was cured as soon as she drank the coffee. We came home and she spent the day resting, watching TV, doing a TikTok LIVE and eating. She’s been eating good and maintaining her weight. Nausea hasn’t been much of an issue. Overall it was a good day. We go back to the clinic on Thursday and will probably be admitted for another cycle of chemo sometime next week.
