No major events last night, other than a little bit of nausea. The night shift nurse gave her a PRN (As Needed) antiemetic (anti nausea) drug by mouth. It cleared it up and made her drowsy. We were up and down quite a bit last night. It seemed like every hour or two. Between medication administration, IV pumps beeping, Shannon having some drenching night sweats and bathroom breaks…sleep was a little here, and a little there.

She was NPO after midnight but they let her have a light breakfast. She went down to IR around 11am to get her 1st dose of intrathecal chemo. She was done by 230pm and back in the room. The procedure is very quick but there was a lot of waiting. They get backed up with all of the various procedures on different patients down there.

She came back from IR and ate lunch in her room. No issues this afternoon. She did have a little nausea a few minutes ago but the nurse gave her an antiemetic (it’s 10:28 pm now).

She will be starting another chemo infusion around 11 pm.

Til tomorrow…
