Shannon ate lunch: Turkey with Gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans.
Slow day so far due to the holiday. Shannon’s attending “Dr. G” did stop by briefly and said all Infectious Disease results are negative so far. There’s no results available on the biopsy from yesterday. Dr G said maybe this afternoon or tomorrow there will be something to look at. Shannon got a little emotional after the doctor walked out. She had a little anxiety when Dr G was looking thru her phone and possibly about to give us results. She was getting worked up about potentially hearing bad news. Poor little girl.
There’s an Echo Tech in the room right now performing an echocardiogram which looks at Shannon’s heart structure and function. It’s a standard diagnostic test done to make sure the heart is healthy before any chemotherapy begins…if needed. It’s basically an ultrasound of the heart. Some of the chemo drugs can be harsh on the heart muscle. Her oncologist just wants to make sure her body can handle the treatment.
We aren’t expecting much else to happen tonight. Maybe we can see some fireworks from our window later.

Still praying for you Shannon and James God is in total control!!! Love you guys….
I hope you get an awe inspiring view of some fireworks.
Thank you so much for these updates.
I’m glad you are having a positive experience.
Praying for you and your family. Stay strong. And when you feel you can’t, I’m here to help carry you.
Love you
Sandra
