August 2nd was Labor Day. It was pretty quiet around the hospital. Shannon started was on her final bag of IV chemo. It finally finished around 7am on August 3rd. The Oncology Team (Dr. Mims and Residents) and the attending stopped by. They said she was good to discharge home. Her nurse discontinued her PICC line. There’s no pain when they take it out, it just slips right out. They apply pressure for a few minutes and then place a bandage on it. We left the hospital and got home early around 11:30am on Tuesday.
